In this vibrant season of spring, as everything awakens and flourishes, the 15th Fengxian Electric Tricycles Exhibition and Foreign Trade Procurement Matchmaking Conference was successfully held.
The event highlighted Fengxian's competitive advantages in the electric three-wheeled vehicle industry, aiming to drive technological innovation and industrial upgrading. By building a precise matchmaking platform for global procurement, it facilitated efficient alignment between Chinas supply chains and international market demands, accelerating the globalization of regional industrial chains and advancing the shift toward higher added value.
Distinguished guests attending the event included: H.E. Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to China, and his wife Mrs. Renuka Oli; Ms. Zhang Hong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Overseas Development Association; Ms. Chen Baoying, General Manager of the Strategic Cooperation Department of the China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" Batang Wanxinda Industrial Park; Mr. Liu Xingfu, Director of the Do-Fluoride New Energy Battery Research Institute; Ms. Caroline Berekbaum, CEO of French company PARTNAIR & SEA; Ms. Pauline White, CEO of 2NY CONSULTING Group from Gabon; Mr. Ma Xinya, General Manager of Xuzhou Huabo Exhibition Services Co., Ltd.; along with industry representatives and members of the media.
The event adopted an innovative model of "keynote speeches + strategic agreements + targeted matchmaking," creating a zero-distance cooperation platform for global buyers. H.E. Krishna Prasad Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to China, and Ms. Zhang Hong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Overseas Development Association, delivered speeches respectively.
Ambassador Krishna Prasad Oli remarked that electric vehicles (EVs) are a remarkable technological achievement that addresses climate change and daily living needs. He expressed confidence that this grand event would promote innovation and global cooperation in the EV industry. He emphasized Nepal's commitment to a green economy, highlighting the nation's 2045 net-zero emissions goal and its pledge to replace all fossil-fueled light vehicles with EVs by 2031. To attract foreign direct investment, Nepal offers favorable policies including tax incentives for EV imports. Currently, nearly all three-wheelers in the country are imported electric vehicles, and the market share of electric two-wheelers is steadily increasing, a testament to the strong potential of Nepal's EV market. The Ambassador warmly welcomed global investors to participate in EV manufacturing, technology transfer, and green energy projects such as hydropower and solar power in Nepal.
In her speech, Ms. Zhang Hong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Overseas Development Association, stated that waves of "Made-in-China" products featuring Chinese elements have swept across global markets, winning the hearts of overseas consumers. Represented by Fengxian County, Chinese electric three-wheeled vehicle enterprises have successfully built internationally influential homegrown brands by continuously driving technological innovation, strictly controlling quality, and flexibly applying localized strategies. These efforts have enabled Chinese-made products to evolve from simply "going global" to truly "integrating globally," earning widespread international acclaim. In light of the complex and challenging external environment facing China's exports, Ms. Zhang offered four practical suggestions to help Chinese EV enterprises seize favorable opportunities and achieve high-quality, steady growth in their efforts to go global.
Ms. Chen Baoying, General Manager of the Strategic Cooperation Department at the China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" · Batang (KITB) Wanxinda Industrial Park, delivered a keynote speech titled "The Next Twenty Years." In her speech, Ms. Chen emphasized that Indonesia, as a major country with political stability, offers a safe and strategic destination for Chinese enterprises seeking to expand overseas. Its friendly ties with China, demographic dividend, sustained economic growth, and vast market potential make it an ideal choice for outbound investment. She highlighted six key sectors in Indonesia, such as energy and electric vehicles, that hold tremendous development potential, supported by various government policies aimed at encouraging industrial growth. Chen noted the significant advantages of establishing factories in Indonesia: a large and growing market, generous tax incentives, streamlined certification processes, abundant human resources, low social insurance costs, and stable and affordable electricity supply. She further stated that China and Indonesia are actively advancing the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" initiative. The Batang Industrial Park project is progressing smoothly, with comprehensive supporting infrastructure in place. The park enjoys both bonded zone and special economic zone benefits, and is committed to providing one-stop services for investors.
Ms. Caroline Berekbaum, CEO of PARTNAIR&SEA (France), and Ms. Pauline White, CEO of 2NY CONSULTING GROUP (Gabon), each delivered keynote speeches. Ms. Caroline Berekbaum focused her address on Africa, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges present on the continent. She emphasized that China, as a hub of industrial innovation, holds enormous potential for cooperation with Africa. She suggested that localized assembly operations could effectively reduce costs and create local employment opportunities, paving the way for mutually beneficial development.
Dr. Liu Xingfu, Director of the Do-Fluoride New Energy Battery Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech titled "Development and Reflections on Large Cylindrical Batteries." He introduced the evolution of the full-tab large cylindrical battery, which has undergone three major iterations. The third-generation full-tab large cylindrical battery achieves excellence in safety, cost, reliability, and efficiency, all designed to deliver an exceptional user experience for electric vehicle brands.
The Ningbo Cross-border E-commerce Association, Xuzhou Ekuagou Import & Export Trading Co., Ltd., and Xuzhou Huabo Exhibition Services Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a Strategic Cooperation Agreement, injecting new momentum into collaboration within the cross-border e-commerce sector.
To facilitate in-depth connection between suppliers and buyers, a dedicated matchmaking area was set up at the event, providing a communication platform for buyers from various regions. This enabled precise demand-supply matching and laid a solid foundation for Fengxian's electric vehicle industry to expand into international markets.
The exhibition area featured a curated selection of brands and vehicle models for on-site display, allowing buyers to gain a direct understanding of their appearance and performance. This helped build a solid foundation for future cooperation through enhanced product awareness.
The successful hosting of this foreign trade procurement matchmaking conference not only served as an efficient bridge connecting Fengxian's electric three-wheeled vehicle industry with overseas markets, but also further advanced the integration and development of China's supply chain within the global market. It will help regional industrial chains achieve global expansion and high value-added transformation, marking a significant milestone in the internationalization of the electric three-wheeled vehicle industry.
